My alopecia story

My journey began in 2013 when I was diagnosed with the worst case of fibromyalgia taking different medications made my hair come out. My self worth and confidence started to diminish because I thought without hair I wasn’t pretty. I did various things trying to hold on to the little strands of hair I had left. Wearing weaves and wigs. It wasn’t until I learned my identity wasn’t in the hair but it was within. Learning that I was wonderfully and fearfully made by the hands of God and that my identity was in who He created me to be. God told me to let it go, you are beautiful and the man I have for you will see you just as I do. I let go of the reliance of hair weaves and wigs. So, today I’m black, bald, bold and free yes that’s me!
